A Weekend In My Life | Sydney, Australia

I have to be honest, the majority of my weekends are spent either working (I’m a marketing consultant at a hair and beauty salon) or at home binge-watching on Youtube videos or Dance Moms. However, last weekend was one of those few days where I actually did something productive and went out and enjoyed the sunshine. Now that we’ve reached August, the last month of Winter, there are more warmer days to enjoy meaning that it’s time to swap the scarves for our sandals and head outside. For this post, instead of writing out a long and detailed essay on what I did, where I went, what I wore etc, I decided to just share my weekend with a visual diary and a small comment underneath. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you want to see next xx Brunch at a popular Instagram cafe-Concrete Jungle located just behind Central Park. We ordered coffee, sweet potato fries, blue smoothie bowl with berries and coconut flakes and the health bowl full of sweet goodness …

Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:  Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here 🙂 xx

Weekend Antics | Melbourne

Ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities and labelled as the Australian ‘New York’, I had the chance to visit the reputable city of Melbourne for a short weekend trip with my boyfriend, who studies Medicine at the nearby university. I arrived in Melbourne on Friday morning and spent the day on campus with my boyfriend as he introduced me to his roommates followed by a brief tour on and off campus. One thing I noticed was how spaced out and open everything is. If you looked into the distance, there was nothing really that prevented your line of sight and you could see miles and miles ahead of you. The next day we woke up early to catch the express train to Melbourne CBD where we would be staying for the weekend. It was my first time visiting Melbourne’s CBD so we had lots to see and explore as we walked up and down the shopping strips around Bourke street, Little Collins and near the Emporium. The first thing I did notice was that it was …

February Faves

Being the shortest month of the year, February felt almost non existent. But at the same time, it also felt like one of the longest months as it was a month full of departures for me. In saying that, I had a lot of free time this month and spent a lot of days browsing endlessly and I managed to find a lot of fave goodies. I’ve divided it into categories because I do have quite a few to share and thought it would be easier to read this way. Enjoy! To Read: We need to talk about Kevin I purchased this book in December and only got into it this month once the festive holiday season died down and found myself being so attached to it. It’s a psychological drama (what a surprise) book that delves into the life of 15 year old Kevin who killed his classmates in a high school massacre. It’s written through letters in the perspective of his mother as she turns back to her past, her honest opinions on being a …

Whats In A Room

I was recently looking at my old iMovie clips where I used to film and edit short clips and happened to stumble upon a ‘room tour’ video from 2 years ago. A lot has changed since in regards to the design, layout, what products I use and my personal style. I used to love intricate detailings and I was obsessed with cute and girly things.. in other words everything had to be pink and luscious. I’ve screenshotted my favourite stills from the video and hope you enjoy these aesthetically pleasing shots of what used to be my bedroom ^_^ My dresser with my old favourites including a vintage angel candle that was my grandma’s and I now use as a jewellery holder, Glasshouse scented candle in Tahaa, easter bunny from my aunty, skull from Daiso, vintage mini plate with renaissance designs that I use as my everyday jewellery holder.  I thought the Tiffany box complimented the bunny. When I was younger, the only thing I wanted in life was a studious pink desk with mini …

Vivid Vision 2016

Like any Sydney-sider, a visit to Vivid is essential and taking the regular snapshots of the cathedral hallway of lights is even more imperative. My friends and I headed to Darling Harbour at 6pm, when the event just began where we were greeted with a cascade of water dancing to the jazzy rhythm of the music. There were light beams shooting from the water and trickled down the surrounding buildings of bright greens, pink and reds. After gazing at the light show, we soon became quite peckish so we headed to the usual; Arisun for Korean food which unfortunately I divulged before I even remembered to take a photo of it. The night life was brimming with people wrapped up in beanies and scarves, selfie sticks being whipped out as frequently as tissues and lots and lots of street shows! Our final stop after passing all the stores in Pitt Street was of course, the famed Cathedral of lights next to the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens. There was a huge line that started all the way …

Follow Me Around Visual Diary

Hi beautiful friends! For today’s post I am going to be sharing with you a photo-diary of a follow me around from when I went shopping in the city with one of my good friends  yesterday. We were originally supposed to meet up for lunch and gym but after exploring these trendy boutiques hidden in Chinatown, we kind of compromised that with all this walking around, it was kindaaaa like hitting the gym (who were we kidding). However, it did end up to be such an exciting day and its spontaneous unplanned trips like these that end up to be one of the most memorable days that we’ll cherish forever. We were shopping in the usual vicinity of Pitt Street Mall and browsing mind-numbly through the usual (Zara, Topshop, General Pants, Dotti) and we just couldn’t understand why we struggled so much in finding pieces that we actually liked! Once again, we hadn’t picked out anything so, we headed through to Chinatown to catch the train. It was there that we decided to stop at …
