Melbourne Travel Blog 2017 | Uni Ball

Sorry for the spam of photos, I really thought that I didn’t take enough of my trip to Melbourne last week…turns out I under-estimated how many I considered was of a substantial amount. If you don’t know already if you’re not following my Insta account  (I upload every day and share everything about my lifestyle), I visited Melbourne last Thursday-Monday to see my boyfriend who studies at university there. We have this tradition where every year we attend his med-ball and for the past 2 years, we always celebrated it in Sydney during the semester and since this year he’s studying medicine in Melbourne, we knew that we had to preserve our celebratory tradition. On the first day, we headed to Melbourne CBD and wandered around looking for a cute place to have dinner. One thing I wish Sydney had was the free tram line that circled around the CBD of Melbourne because it saved us so much time. When it comes to food, we always have spend so much time deciding what to eat …

A Weekend In My Life | Sydney, Australia

I have to be honest, the majority of my weekends are spent either working (I’m a marketing consultant at a hair and beauty salon) or at home binge-watching on Youtube videos or Dance Moms. However, last weekend was one of those few days where I actually did something productive and went out and enjoyed the sunshine. Now that we’ve reached August, the last month of Winter, there are more warmer days to enjoy meaning that it’s time to swap the scarves for our sandals and head outside. For this post, instead of writing out a long and detailed essay on what I did, where I went, what I wore etc, I decided to just share my weekend with a visual diary and a small comment underneath. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you want to see next xx Brunch at a popular Instagram cafe-Concrete Jungle located just behind Central Park. We ordered coffee, sweet potato fries, blue smoothie bowl with berries and coconut flakes and the health bowl full of sweet goodness …

Top 5 Clubs In Sydney

Born and bred in Sydney, Australia I have had my fair share of visiting many night clubs and bars within the Sydney vicinity. And although Sydney’s night life has taken a big hit with the introduction of the lock out laws that were recently put at bay, it still hasn’t stopped us young party-goers from enjoying a night out in the city. Here are my top 5 picks of where to go on a night out full of fun, laughter and alcohol. Marquee Nightclub When: Saturdays If you live in Sydney, a visit to Marquee Nightclub is a must, and almost a tradition to go at least ONCE as soon as you’re of age. Located in The Star Casino, this is the place to be and hosts all the international superstars that come out to play during the after hours. Although you do have pay for tickets, and drinks can be pricey I recommend paying early bird entry (in before 11pm) and pre drinking someplace cheaper so that you don’t wake up the next morning …

Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:  Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here 🙂 xx

A Day At The Art Gallery

One of my favourite things to do during the Winter time is visit the art gallery and I do so every year when the weather gets cold. It’s such a place of relaxation as you wander aimlessly amongst the artworks and passerby’s in silence. I’m not exactly an art-sy person but I’m really into Renaissance paintings and works from the early European period. Here are a few snapshots of my favourite artworks from the Art Gallery of NSW.   P.s. Check out my ultimate guide to the perfect outfit and make-up look for a day at the Art Gallery!

May Faves | Nudes, Green Gables & More…

We have officially reached the mid year of 2017! It’s crazy to think how fast time is passing and it makes me EVEN MORE nervous to realise how there is still so many things I have to yet to do. That being said, May for me was a frenetic (fave new word of the week hehe) month. It was the busier latter half of semester at uni where everything was due sporadically and all at once.  It was also my first time at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and there were events almost every weekend for me related to fashion and bloggers and just another excuse to brunch with friends. I do have quite a few random favourites across all spectrums including a show I am now addicted to, and a must try winter tea. Fashion: Knee-high boots May was the official turning point for the colder months ahead and I am definitely not one for the chillier weather so throughout May I was wearing my black suede knee high boots from H&M I bought a few …

Affordable Fashion Straight From The Runway 18

Being a fashion journalist student is kinda like holiday-ing at a beautiful resort but unable to understand/speak the language; challenging but rewarding. I’m able to read and write and gain behind the scenes exclusive knowledge of the latest trends and runway styles but being a university student, simply cannot afford most of the pieces. I understand the daily struggle of browsing through your favourite designers only to realise that the one thing that’s within your price range are a pair of heavily reduced socks. That being said, I have located my favourite FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY looks and trends duplicates that are super affordable and stylish. Check them out and let me know your thoughts. Weekend OOTD | Denim Dressing

Hi guys! Today’s outfit is a super comfy and stylish one that is currently perfect to host under Sydney’s fluctuating weather conditions. I bought this denim dress from Topshop and this halter necked design can either be a hit or miss. It’s tight on the upper body from your chest upwards but then flows into a structured bottom which can make you look a little shapeless. However, because it was short, the balance between the box-y waist and the height was just right, elongating your legs and giving it the ultimate effortless party look. I paired it with some silver necklaces from Sportsgirl and my favourite pointy cut out boots from Marco Gianni. Let me know if you have something similar to this or what you would love to read in my next post 🙂

College Bag Essentials | Whats In My Bag

With the last day of Summer coming to an end and as we are now approaching the THIRD month of the new year, it’s time to replace your sunglasses with prescription glasses and your playsuits with pens and pencils as we head back into the college/school period. Knowing what to bring, what to wear and where to go is a hassle and with the stress of a new environment and figuring out your timetable and classes, the worst thing for anyone on their first day would be to forget to bring something crucial. Going into my third (and final year) of uni, its fair to say that I have a sound knowledge of the essentials and survival kit of what to bring so I decided to share them with you. Backpack/large tote bag with comfortable straps: An average uni day is divided into two sections,  60% walking to your lectures and 40% of the time actually being in class so you need to make sure that you have a practical bag with comfortable straps. I …

Date Night | OOTD

There is nothing more stunning than a classic navy (that’s right navy, not black) long dress that clings to your body and flows effortlessly at the end. Every girl should have the staple navy dress in their wardrobe as this refined classic colour suits almost every occasion. And unlike the classic black dress, navy brings a warmth of colour and lightens up any event and in my opinion, suits almost every skin tone. I purchased my navy dress a year ago on an online boutique store for a uni formal and found that it was very versatile to pair with jewellery, heels and various make up looks to completely transform the whole look and essence of this dress. What will you wear your navy dress to? xx
