Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:  Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here 🙂 xx

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot’s Fashion & Beauty Hacks

Hollywood’s current superstar and superhero Gal Gadot has everyone talking about her latest action packed film, Wonder Woman directed by the brilliant Patty Jenkins. This film is a serious must see not only to marvel at the stunningly beautiful Gal Gadot but also appreciate a film where the witty kick ass hero is actually a warrior princess/Amazonian goddess. Whilst we’re still in awe at how she managed to repel bullets and protect herself and the war torn cities, the biggest question in our minds is how after all that she still looks as glamorous as ever. Here are a few of my favourite beauty and fashion looks from Gal Gadot and how to achieve them: Face: In the film Diana’s face was as flawless as her character, a bronzed Amazonian goddess so to achieve this look it is imperative to start off with the perfect base and work from there. My favourite primer is Benefit’s Porefessonal primer. To achieve that naturally golden finish, apply a cream contour on the hollows of your cheekbones, the arch …

May Faves | Nudes, Green Gables & More…

We have officially reached the mid year of 2017! It’s crazy to think how fast time is passing and it makes me EVEN MORE nervous to realise how there is still so many things I have to yet to do. That being said, May for me was a frenetic (fave new word of the week hehe) month. It was the busier latter half of semester at uni where everything was due sporadically and all at once.  It was also my first time at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and there were events almost every weekend for me related to fashion and bloggers and just another excuse to brunch with friends. I do have quite a few random favourites across all spectrums including a show I am now addicted to, and a must try winter tea. Fashion: Knee-high boots May was the official turning point for the colder months ahead and I am definitely not one for the chillier weather so throughout May I was wearing my black suede knee high boots from H&M I bought a few …

Date Night | OOTD

There is nothing more stunning than a classic navy (that’s right navy, not black) long dress that clings to your body and flows effortlessly at the end. Every girl should have the staple navy dress in their wardrobe as this refined classic colour suits almost every occasion. And unlike the classic black dress, navy brings a warmth of colour and lightens up any event and in my opinion, suits almost every skin tone. I purchased my navy dress a year ago on an online boutique store for a uni formal and found that it was very versatile to pair with jewellery, heels and various make up looks to completely transform the whole look and essence of this dress. What will you wear your navy dress to? xx

Backstage at the 2017 Fall Fashion Show

The looks are bolder, the models are bigger and the collections are even crazier at this years 2017 Fashion Show.  After scrolling endlessly on WWD’s behind the scenes fashion & beauty features, I’ve instantly become inspired by the dazzling looks, whether they include intricately detailed nail designs from the Libertine Fall show to the simplistic bold brows at Narciso Rodriguez, this year there is something fitted for everyone. Here is my take on some of the trends that I’ve picked up: Rich Burgundy Lips: Although its no ground breaking revelation, dark lips have made it big this season and doesn’t look to be slowing down. Celebrity reality star Kendall Jenner was spotted with a rich burgundy lip at the La Perla show. Pearl-esque Eyes: This year, the general trend was bold face and lips and simple eyes, keeping the eye makeup simple, natural and dewy. Replace your eyeliners with a nude shadow or glossy shimmer or, in this case, with tiny pearls and gemstones applied to the inner corner of the eyes. This intricate look …

January Art Gallery

Before we begin this post can we just take a minute to realise that we have successfully reached the END of the first month of the new year?!?!? This also means for us Australians and everyone else who lives in the Southern Hemisphere that we are halfway through Summer! This month had been a successful one filled with many trips to the beach, post Christmas shopping sprees, my birthday, lazing around with my boyfriend before he leaves in February to med school and of course, more time working on my Instagram posts. As I mentioned previously, each month I will share an ‘inspiration’ mood board collating all the photos that have inspired me. In January I was inspired by dewy red cranberry makeup looks, the women’s march and the collective love that everyone had as they stood together in solidarity to speak up to what they believed in and of course anything that sparkled. Leave me a comment and let me know what you were inspired by and what your favourite inspiration picture was ^_^

Skin-Deep: My Everyday Routine

One of my favourite topics to read are skin care related routines and learning all about the benefits of certain ingredients for your face. So for today’s post I’ve decided to share what I do as part of my daily skin care routine. Because I have combination/oily skin, these products are targeted at combatting large pores, oil and redness. To start off with, I use my coveted Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil that removes even the most stubborn waterproof makeup. The oil is so gentle that you don’t need to rub harshly, preventing premature wrinkles as well as ensuring that you don’t pull out half your lashes while you’re at it. For my face wash I’m using from The Body Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava foaming face wash to clean out clogged dirt and oil from the pores. This is a super soft exfoliating wash and has a light scent that smells of citrus. I’ve been using it for around 6 months now and love how gentle it is without irritating my skin and leaving it to …

From 2016’s show stopping glitter trends and dark bold brows, we welcome 2017 with 5 beauty looks that will be trending all year round. Let’s take a look at the styles that will surely leave their mark this year.   Under-liner Winged eyeliner was the classic go to all last year and celebrities, models, influencers and runways are switching it up by applying bright liner or glitter under the lower lash line. This look accentuates the eye shape and adds edginess to the overall look ad is definitely a showstopper.   Hazy Glow Dewy makeups are definitely trending in 2017 so be sure to incorporate tinted moisturisers, lip-gloss, cream eye shadows and blushes into your everyday look. Swap your powders for oil-based products that will give you that youthful sheen and leave your skin glowing all year around.   Shimmer strobe It’s time to take your makeup that’s out of this world with galaxy inspired glitter and shimmer. To achieve this, apply a strobing cream, highlighting powder or cream highlight on the high points of …

Summer Lookbook | 17

For most people around the world wild blizzards, creamy hot cocoa and ice sculptures are what’s happening in their day to day lifestyles, so it is hard to imagine that in the Southern hemisphere, we are currently experiencing one of the hottest summers yet. I have decided to put together a quick lookbook on a couple of my favourite outfits that I’ve pieced together this season. Let me know your thoughts down below and and I will put all outfit details at the bottom of each photo. Enjoy xx Dreamy Denim The off the shoulder look has been trending from the runways seen in New York Fashion week of 2016 designers such as Altuzarra, Vera Wang and  Gabriela Hearst just to name a few as well as the world of Instagram influencers. They’re super comfy and flattering and definitely spices up an ordinary cropped top and denim shorts outfit. Top and bottom: Bardot White Summers Eve I used to think that matching sets ‘lacked imagination’ but they’re actually surprisingly and ironically harder to pull off …
