Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:  Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here 🙂 xx

Fashion For Winter | Weekend, Coffee & Layering

Au revoir everyone! I’m writing this as I’m staring out my window overlooking the cool grey clouds enveloping the sky, casting a tinted haze amongst us Sydney-siders. One of my friends who’s originally from London used to marvel at how Sydney has ‘so much sky’ and even though I initially laughed and asked her what she meant, now looking at it, I can see why she would say that! This Saturday was another gloomy cloudy day, making me feel like I’ve transported to Paris or London. The up side however being it’s the perfect condition to sip on delicious coffee (I’m slowly becoming more and more addicted to soy mochas). Here’s my outfit post and a little visual diary of my weekend xx Shop this SIMILAR look here: Scarf: Cardigan: Boots: Bag:

May Faves | Nudes, Green Gables & More…

We have officially reached the mid year of 2017! It’s crazy to think how fast time is passing and it makes me EVEN MORE nervous to realise how there is still so many things I have to yet to do. That being said, May for me was a frenetic (fave new word of the week hehe) month. It was the busier latter half of semester at uni where everything was due sporadically and all at once.  It was also my first time at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and there were events almost every weekend for me related to fashion and bloggers and just another excuse to brunch with friends. I do have quite a few random favourites across all spectrums including a show I am now addicted to, and a must try winter tea. Fashion: Knee-high boots May was the official turning point for the colder months ahead and I am definitely not one for the chillier weather so throughout May I was wearing my black suede knee high boots from H&M I bought a few …

Affordable Fashion Straight From The Runway 18

Being a fashion journalist student is kinda like holiday-ing at a beautiful resort but unable to understand/speak the language; challenging but rewarding. I’m able to read and write and gain behind the scenes exclusive knowledge of the latest trends and runway styles but being a university student, simply cannot afford most of the pieces. I understand the daily struggle of browsing through your favourite designers only to realise that the one thing that’s within your price range are a pair of heavily reduced socks. That being said, I have located my favourite FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY looks and trends duplicates that are super affordable and stylish. Check them out and let me know your thoughts. Weekend Antics | Melbourne

Ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities and labelled as the Australian ‘New York’, I had the chance to visit the reputable city of Melbourne for a short weekend trip with my boyfriend, who studies Medicine at the nearby university. I arrived in Melbourne on Friday morning and spent the day on campus with my boyfriend as he introduced me to his roommates followed by a brief tour on and off campus. One thing I noticed was how spaced out and open everything is. If you looked into the distance, there was nothing really that prevented your line of sight and you could see miles and miles ahead of you. The next day we woke up early to catch the express train to Melbourne CBD where we would be staying for the weekend. It was my first time visiting Melbourne’s CBD so we had lots to see and explore as we walked up and down the shopping strips around Bourke street, Little Collins and near the Emporium. The first thing I did notice was that it was …

Fall 2017 Trends | Clueless Vibes & Mesh

One of the downsides of living in the Southern Hemisphere is that you are a season ahead (or behind depending on which way you see it) from the rest of the world. Media coverage and trends predominantly come from the US, Europe and the UK and because of our time and seasonal differences, we just miss out and have to end up waiting 3 months to wear pieces from Fashion Week runways. However after looking on WWD’s Fall Fashion Runway trends, I’ve picked up a few awe-inspiring and unique pieces that are actually well suited for us Aussie fashionistas. Their Fall is equivalent to our Winter, meaning that we can finally follow and look at pieces that would be appropriate to wear right now. I’ve taken some of my favourite fashion trends and have incorporated into everyday street style because let’s face it, although splurging on Balenciaga and Dolce and Gabbana coats would be heaven, it’s just not ideal. Statement cropped tops (from the Fenty Puma Rihanna collection) I am a fan of cropped clothing items …

Weekend OOTD | Denim Dressing

Hi guys! Today’s outfit is a super comfy and stylish one that is currently perfect to host under Sydney’s fluctuating weather conditions. I bought this denim dress from Topshop and this halter necked design can either be a hit or miss. It’s tight on the upper body from your chest upwards but then flows into a structured bottom which can make you look a little shapeless. However, because it was short, the balance between the box-y waist and the height was just right, elongating your legs and giving it the ultimate effortless party look. I paired it with some silver necklaces from Sportsgirl and my favourite pointy cut out boots from Marco Gianni. Let me know if you have something similar to this or what you would love to read in my next post 🙂

College Bag Essentials | Whats In My Bag

With the last day of Summer coming to an end and as we are now approaching the THIRD month of the new year, it’s time to replace your sunglasses with prescription glasses and your playsuits with pens and pencils as we head back into the college/school period. Knowing what to bring, what to wear and where to go is a hassle and with the stress of a new environment and figuring out your timetable and classes, the worst thing for anyone on their first day would be to forget to bring something crucial. Going into my third (and final year) of uni, its fair to say that I have a sound knowledge of the essentials and survival kit of what to bring so I decided to share them with you. Backpack/large tote bag with comfortable straps: An average uni day is divided into two sections,  60% walking to your lectures and 40% of the time actually being in class so you need to make sure that you have a practical bag with comfortable straps. I …

Date Night | OOTD

There is nothing more stunning than a classic navy (that’s right navy, not black) long dress that clings to your body and flows effortlessly at the end. Every girl should have the staple navy dress in their wardrobe as this refined classic colour suits almost every occasion. And unlike the classic black dress, navy brings a warmth of colour and lightens up any event and in my opinion, suits almost every skin tone. I purchased my navy dress a year ago on an online boutique store for a uni formal and found that it was very versatile to pair with jewellery, heels and various make up looks to completely transform the whole look and essence of this dress. What will you wear your navy dress to? xx
