A Weekend In My Life | Sydney, Australia

I have to be honest, the majority of my weekends are spent either working (I’m a marketing consultant at a hair and beauty salon) or at home binge-watching on Youtube videos or Dance Moms. However, last weekend was one of those few days where I actually did something productive and went out and enjoyed the sunshine. Now that we’ve reached August, the last month of Winter, there are more warmer days to enjoy meaning that it’s time to swap the scarves for our sandals and head outside. For this post, instead of writing out a long and detailed essay on what I did, where I went, what I wore etc, I decided to just share my weekend with a visual diary and a small comment underneath. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you want to see next xx Brunch at a popular Instagram cafe-Concrete Jungle located just behind Central Park. We ordered coffee, sweet potato fries, blue smoothie bowl with berries and coconut flakes and the health bowl full of sweet goodness …

Stylish People You Need To Follow

Looking for fashion and beauty inspiration can sometimes be harder in today’s media world because we’re flooded with so many fashion and style icons. For today’s post I’m going to be sharing my top favourite influencers that I always go back to when I’m feeling under-inspired and just need a burst of creativity. Janice Joostema Janice’s Instagram is definitely one of my favourites because her feed is minimalistic, chic and sophisticated. She’s only one year older than me but she’s achieved so much already and always looks like she’s stepped out of a glam magazine. 2. Olivia Palermo¬† I fell in love with her when I first saw her on the reality show ‘The City’ which was way back in 2008. Her fashion is not only elegant and simplistic but also represents her bold personality and how she’s not afraid to say what she feels. Her blog also has everything to keep you up to date when it comes to runway shows and high end fashion. 3. Sincerely Jules¬† Julie Sarinana or Sincerely Jules as …

How To: Style A Leather Jacket (Minimalistic)

The ultimate essential for ANYONE no matter what season/climate or where you are in the world is a black leather jacket. I recently was at Zara the other day and spotted the perfect black glossy leather jacket that was perfectly fit (not cropped or oversized) with minimalistic silver detailings on the sleeves, pockets and collar. I’ve been on the lookout for the longest time for a good quality leather jacket that was the perfect fit and didn’t have too much going on. It was pure destiny that they only had one left in my size ¬†and for a jacket under $250, it was everything I’ve envisioned in purchasing a leather jacket. For today’s look I was super casual and minimalistic with a black and white outfit, where the highlight of my outfit was on my lips wearing a bright red Nars lipstick. You’ll be seeing a lot more versatile looks on how I style my leather jacket in the future xx   I’ve also linked 5 very similar leather jackets UNDER $100! Check them out …

Models Hadid Sisters Street Style

Bella and Gigi Hadid have been killing it this year with their street style, staying ahead and up to date with the hottest fashion and beauty trends. Both being professional runway models and constantly being surrounded by other IT girl models and creative designers can also explain why their style is always ‘on point’. Although they are twins, their style couldn’t be anymore different. Gigi Hadid’s style is more of a refined and minimalistic look whereas Bella Hadid is edgy and modern with an eclectic twist. One thing I’ve noticed from both sisters however is their love for denim, and whether it’s a double denim on denim or a sequinned top with distressed navy jeans, if it’s anyone who can pull off a quirky look, it’s the Hadid’s. I’ve stalked their Instagram (as I do on a daily basis) and screenshotted my favourite looks from the sisters. And even better, I’ve even linked similar looks so you don’t have to stress about where to find their outfit pieces. All the hard work, anxiety and panic …

Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:¬† Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here ūüôā xx

A Day At The Art Gallery

One of my favourite things to do during the Winter time is visit the art gallery and I do so every year when the weather gets cold. It’s such a place of relaxation as you wander aimlessly amongst the artworks and passerby’s in silence. I’m not exactly an art-sy person but I’m really into Renaissance paintings and works from the early European period. Here are a few snapshots of my favourite artworks from the Art Gallery of NSW.   P.s. Check out my ultimate guide to the perfect outfit and make-up look for a day at the Art Gallery!¬† ¬†

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot’s Fashion & Beauty Hacks

Hollywood’s current superstar and superhero Gal Gadot has everyone talking about her latest action packed film, Wonder Woman directed by the brilliant Patty Jenkins. This film is a serious must see not only to marvel at the stunningly beautiful Gal Gadot but also appreciate a film where the witty kick ass hero is actually a warrior princess/Amazonian goddess. Whilst we’re still in awe at how she managed to repel bullets and protect herself and the war torn cities, the biggest question in our minds is how after all that she still looks as glamorous as ever. Here are a few of my favourite beauty and fashion looks from Gal Gadot and how to achieve them: Face: In the film Diana’s face was as flawless as her character, a bronzed Amazonian goddess so to achieve this look it is imperative to start off with the perfect base and work from there. My favourite primer is Benefit’s Porefessonal primer. To achieve that naturally golden finish, apply a cream contour on the hollows of your cheekbones, the arch …

May Faves | Nudes, Green Gables & More…

We have officially reached the mid year of 2017! It’s crazy to think how fast time is passing and it makes me EVEN MORE nervous to realise how there is still so many things I have to yet to do. That being said, May for me was a frenetic (fave new word of the week hehe)¬†month. It was the busier latter half of semester at uni where everything was due sporadically and all at once. ¬†It was also my first time at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and there were events almost every weekend for me related to fashion and bloggers and just another excuse to brunch with friends. I do have quite a few random favourites across all spectrums including a show I am now addicted to, and a must try winter tea. Fashion: Knee-high boots May was the official turning point for the colder months ahead and I am definitely not one for the chillier weather so throughout May I was wearing my black suede knee high boots from H&M I bought a few …

Affordable Fashion Straight From The Runway 18

Being a fashion journalist student is kinda like holiday-ing at a¬†beautiful resort but unable to understand/speak the language; challenging but rewarding. I’m able to read and write and gain behind the scenes exclusive knowledge of the latest trends and runway styles but being a university student, simply cannot afford most of the pieces. I understand the daily struggle of browsing through¬†your favourite designers only to realise that the one thing that’s within your price range are a pair of heavily reduced socks. That being said, I have located my favourite FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY looks and trends duplicates that are super affordable and stylish. Check them out and let me know your thoughts.
