To New Beginnings…

We have survived 2016, in all it’s guts and glory. From the ascension of Donald Trump’s power to the passing of George Michael we are welcomed to a new year of new beginnings, aspirations, wise decisions and many SUCCESSES. It seems as though time has gained momentum and with each year passing, the days and months fly by so quickly it sometimes feel as though we’re living in a dream. Are we living or are we just going by the motion of the brevity of existence. It was almost yesterday where we welcomed 2016, celebrated Easter with family and friends, decked our houses in spooky Halloween decorations and joined in on the crazy Christmas shopping frenzy and here we are in the first month of the new year. A clean slate. This year should be a time to focus on ourselves and set adequate goals for ourselves. Whether it be something to prosper your study or work situation or for health gains, make sure that you write a detailed and well thought out plan. Let’s also …

Wolf Club

A quick outfit of the day post. With Sydney weather clearing up to reveal humid mornings and cloudy evenings, it’s hard to decipher what to wear. So I have opted for comfort (as per usual) with the classic print tee tucked into denim white shorts. It was a successful Christmas shopping day as I luckily and thankfully managed to snatch up some great discounted clothes. I will post a fashion and beauty related Christmas haul soon. For outfit details, see below xx Top: Sportsgirl Shorts:Kookai Lips: Stila liquid stay all day lipstick in bico

All Hallow’s Eve | 2016

Halloween in today’s digital age is the perfect opportunity to dress up and take masses of photos with your friends on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat (using the Halloween special effect filters of course) without anyone thinking that you’re too overly conceited and vain. Although Halloween is said to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain to ward off ghosts and evil spirits, it quickly became a renowned tradition in America. Today, Halloween is celebrated all over the world with the help of social media glorifying and extending the practice of ‘trick or treating’  and jack-o’-lantern carving. It is a battlefield in the world of Instagram of who has the most exquisite Halloween costume or who is able to replicate the characters of Harley Quinn or Mia Wallace the best. Celebrities and social media influencers have definitely transformed Halloween into a glamourised fashion show…not that I’m complaining. Any excuse to dress up and take photos is fine by me. This year I went as a skeleton gal (or ghoul if I want to be punny), using an …

Instagram Poems + Fake Friends

She had blue skin,  and so did he,  He kept it hid, and so did she,  They searched for blue, Their whole life through, Then passed right by- And never knew. This was a poem I read earlier today on Instagram (@emmamercury) and it stuck with me all day. It made me remember all those times when I would put on a ‘mask’ in front of people in a hopeless attempt to get them to like me more, thinking that they would be impressed or that I would become more popular, likeable and even beautiful. Now that I am 20, I’ve learnt a lot about myself and although I still have much much more to learn from, I feel that the me one, five and ten years ago was completely different than the person who I am today. So I’ve compiled a list of 7 things (to keep it short and sweet) of things that I have learnt over the brief period of years. Hope you enjoy xx You can’t get everyone to like you… and that’s …

Once in a while it is important, almost imperative to dress up wearing a new outfit that we know we shouldn’t have splurged on, style our hair differently and dab on that gorgeous shade of lipstick that you wouldn’t normally wear on a day to day basis. But you’re only young once, and in 10 years time your body won’t be looking as fit and fine as it is currently. The sun is shining and it will continue to shine bright everyday and it makes you realise that life is to short to wear bland colours and clothing. It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and go out as though you are as fabulous and fashionable as Blake Lively or Olivia Palermo. Here are some of my favourite glam outfits that I’ve been wearing currently: Dress: Missguided Shoes: Betts Top: Sportsgirl Top: Dotti Jeans: Kookai Top: Glassons Jeans: Topshop Heels: Betts Have a beautiful day and stay glam xx

Winter OOTD | 13-14th Aug 2016

The endless winds, hazy dusty sky and torrential rain has finally come to an end here in Sydney where we are (FINALLY) greeted with bursts of sunshine, warmth and good vibes! I have put together two outfits that I have worn this weekend which are suitable for the winter-spring transition to share with all you lovely readers. Another quick update is that I have recently purchased a canon camera and I am so excited to create new projects on this blog as well as my Instagram page (linked to your right for daily updates) so stay tuned for that! I am a Summer baby (born in January) so summer clothes and styling are my forte so I cannot wait to start snapshotting my daily OOTD’s, beauty routine and everything else related to beauty, fashion and styling^_^ I hope you guys enjoy and below are the outfits I wore this weekend! 13/8/16 For Saturday’s look I was rocking the sporty vibe, and decided to go all out with the baseball hat, meshed jersey, leggings and sneakers …

Vivid Vision 2016

Like any Sydney-sider, a visit to Vivid is essential and taking the regular snapshots of the cathedral hallway of lights is even more imperative. My friends and I headed to Darling Harbour at 6pm, when the event just began where we were greeted with a cascade of water dancing to the jazzy rhythm of the music. There were light beams shooting from the water and trickled down the surrounding buildings of bright greens, pink and reds. After gazing at the light show, we soon became quite peckish so we headed to the usual; Arisun for Korean food which unfortunately I divulged before I even remembered to take a photo of it. The night life was brimming with people wrapped up in beanies and scarves, selfie sticks being whipped out as frequently as tissues and lots and lots of street shows! Our final stop after passing all the stores in Pitt Street was of course, the famed Cathedral of lights next to the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens. There was a huge line that started all the way …

7:25am thoughts

It’s a Friday morning and the sun is bursting through the cherry red curtains, prying its way eagerly with golden fingertips to reach the interiors of the house. Outside, the birds are chatting away as they soar overhead, ready to take on the day. It’s 7:25am and I am sitting here wide awake feeling somewhat inspired and motivated. Uni starts next month, my mum and brother return home from Shanghai China in 3 days and I just got a call from my manager at work asking if I could take the 10-6 shift. Life feels so normal, nothing significant is happening really yet at the same time, it feels so different. Every time i realise my age and that I’ve hit the big 20’s makes me jitter with nerves that I am already a fully fledged adult. yet, ironically I still feel like I’m 16 years old (minus the pimples, acne and devastating clothes style…i thought layering singlets were a cute summer choice…) Now as I type this, i look out my window to the …

Monochromatic Pairings

Lately I’ve been obsessing with wearing a completed ‘set’ outfit or at least a closely matched outfit since, unfortunately (and lets be real here), who is able to afford a dozen of paired outfits which you can only really get away with wearing at least twice before you begin to look like a cartoon character by wearing the exact same MATCHED outfit every single day. I like to describe my style as minimalistic and chic with a burst of extravagance whether it be a funky pair of sneakers, a pop of colour on the lips or a rad (fake) septum piercing. So ‘set’ outfits definitely are in my agenda on how to style them to suit any occasion. Style 1. S&S (Sophisticated & Sexy) This outfit from Kookai is paired perfectly with its warm neutral tones of off whites and warm greys. One of my go-to outfits for any night-time event whether it be a formal dinner even (layered with an oversized coat or blazer) or a fun girl’s night out clubbing. Because of its …

A room of one’s own; Houses that burst with stories and forgotten dreams

After submitting the final assessment for uni before the mid semester break, i breathed the sigh of relief I’ve been holding over the past few weeks of stress and tension. These following 3 weeks will consist of me relaxing behind the screen of my Macbook pro, scrolling endlessly on Tumblr and straining my eyes as I watch movie after movie and guilty tv pleasures (The real housewives of Melbourne is a show i VOW not to share with the rest of the world). And of course, browsing through home design websites and envisioning what my future home will plan out will also consume possibly 80% of my free time. My style has always been modern, sleek with a comfy ‘homey’ element of warmth. I love my technology, so simple sophistication tweeked with modern silvers and whites will always be my preference. However, this ‘industrialised’ vibe that is coming across from my description must consist of neutral tones. These include anything that has meaning, from antique statues, family photographs, intricate paintings and soft carpets, plush donnas and …
