Melbourne Travel Blog 2017 | Uni Ball

Sorry for the spam of photos, I really thought that I didn’t take enough of my trip to Melbourne last week…turns out I under-estimated how many I considered was of a substantial amount. If you don’t know already if you’re not following my Insta account  (I upload every day and share everything about my lifestyle), I visited Melbourne last Thursday-Monday to see my boyfriend who studies at university there. We have this tradition where every year we attend his med-ball and for the past 2 years, we always celebrated it in Sydney during the semester and since this year he’s studying medicine in Melbourne, we knew that we had to preserve our celebratory tradition. On the first day, we headed to Melbourne CBD and wandered around looking for a cute place to have dinner. One thing I wish Sydney had was the free tram line that circled around the CBD of Melbourne because it saved us so much time. When it comes to food, we always have spend so much time deciding what to eat …

Aesthetically Pleasing Fashion & Lifestyle Inspo

We all have those days where we’re scrolling endlessly through Pinterest or Tumblr wishing and admiring we had that perfect designer bag or those white rooms with floor to ceiling windows and that looked out into the ocean. Whether you’re wanting to gain some beauty, fashion or lifestyle inspiration or just need another excuse to delay your uni assignment, check out some of my favourite Pinterest images from this month! As you can see, this month I was inspired by all things nude, white and very minimalistic and simple. I now focus my photography skills (which is still very basic) on getting the perfect lighting and only having one salient piece as the focus. Leave your pinterest account below so I can follow 😛

Stylish People You Need To Follow

Looking for fashion and beauty inspiration can sometimes be harder in today’s media world because we’re flooded with so many fashion and style icons. For today’s post I’m going to be sharing my top favourite influencers that I always go back to when I’m feeling under-inspired and just need a burst of creativity. Janice Joostema Janice’s Instagram is definitely one of my favourites because her feed is minimalistic, chic and sophisticated. She’s only one year older than me but she’s achieved so much already and always looks like she’s stepped out of a glam magazine. 2. Olivia Palermo  I fell in love with her when I first saw her on the reality show ‘The City’ which was way back in 2008. Her fashion is not only elegant and simplistic but also represents her bold personality and how she’s not afraid to say what she feels. Her blog also has everything to keep you up to date when it comes to runway shows and high end fashion. 3. Sincerely Jules  Julie Sarinana or Sincerely Jules as …

Top 5 Clubs In Sydney

Born and bred in Sydney, Australia I have had my fair share of visiting many night clubs and bars within the Sydney vicinity. And although Sydney’s night life has taken a big hit with the introduction of the lock out laws that were recently put at bay, it still hasn’t stopped us young party-goers from enjoying a night out in the city. Here are my top 5 picks of where to go on a night out full of fun, laughter and alcohol. Marquee Nightclub When: Saturdays If you live in Sydney, a visit to Marquee Nightclub is a must, and almost a tradition to go at least ONCE as soon as you’re of age. Located in The Star Casino, this is the place to be and hosts all the international superstars that come out to play during the after hours. Although you do have pay for tickets, and drinks can be pricey I recommend paying early bird entry (in before 11pm) and pre drinking someplace cheaper so that you don’t wake up the next morning …

Models Hadid Sisters Street Style

Bella and Gigi Hadid have been killing it this year with their street style, staying ahead and up to date with the hottest fashion and beauty trends. Both being professional runway models and constantly being surrounded by other IT girl models and creative designers can also explain why their style is always ‘on point’. Although they are twins, their style couldn’t be anymore different. Gigi Hadid’s style is more of a refined and minimalistic look whereas Bella Hadid is edgy and modern with an eclectic twist. One thing I’ve noticed from both sisters however is their love for denim, and whether it’s a double denim on denim or a sequinned top with distressed navy jeans, if it’s anyone who can pull off a quirky look, it’s the Hadid’s. I’ve stalked their Instagram (as I do on a daily basis) and screenshotted my favourite looks from the sisters. And even better, I’ve even linked similar looks so you don’t have to stress about where to find their outfit pieces. All the hard work, anxiety and panic …

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot’s Fashion & Beauty Hacks

Hollywood’s current superstar and superhero Gal Gadot has everyone talking about her latest action packed film, Wonder Woman directed by the brilliant Patty Jenkins. This film is a serious must see not only to marvel at the stunningly beautiful Gal Gadot but also appreciate a film where the witty kick ass hero is actually a warrior princess/Amazonian goddess. Whilst we’re still in awe at how she managed to repel bullets and protect herself and the war torn cities, the biggest question in our minds is how after all that she still looks as glamorous as ever. Here are a few of my favourite beauty and fashion looks from Gal Gadot and how to achieve them: Face: In the film Diana’s face was as flawless as her character, a bronzed Amazonian goddess so to achieve this look it is imperative to start off with the perfect base and work from there. My favourite primer is Benefit’s Porefessonal primer. To achieve that naturally golden finish, apply a cream contour on the hollows of your cheekbones, the arch …

Affordable Fashion Straight From The Runway 18

Being a fashion journalist student is kinda like holiday-ing at a beautiful resort but unable to understand/speak the language; challenging but rewarding. I’m able to read and write and gain behind the scenes exclusive knowledge of the latest trends and runway styles but being a university student, simply cannot afford most of the pieces. I understand the daily struggle of browsing through your favourite designers only to realise that the one thing that’s within your price range are a pair of heavily reduced socks. That being said, I have located my favourite FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY looks and trends duplicates that are super affordable and stylish. Check them out and let me know your thoughts. The Best in Fashion At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week | 17

Last week I had the privilege to attend the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show for the first time. The venue was at Carriageworks and was a beautiful industrial themed space that made the perfect backdrop for all the vibrant and bold outfits. I attended the Runway Collective fashion show with my friend where they showcased all the favourite looks from designers including Bec & Bridge, Alice McCall, Romance Was Born and many more Australian designers. My favourite was Steven Khalil’s pieces (no surprise there) which dazzled with delicate embroidered jewels, lace and sparkles. Because it was my first time I didn’t have any previous experience to base this fashion show but overall it was fantastic. The music was modern and enchanting and had an electric dreamy feel and synchronised with the model’s catwalk. What I could take fashion-wise from this year’s show was that it incorporated a lot of geometric colours and contrasting prints such as ruffles with stripes.  I also loved the models sleeked back hair that gave them a modern and fresh-faced look. Take a …
