Stylish People You Need To Follow

Looking for fashion and beauty inspiration can sometimes be harder in today’s media world because we’re flooded with so many fashion and style icons. For today’s post I’m going to be sharing my top favourite influencers that I always go back to when I’m feeling under-inspired and just need a burst of creativity. Janice Joostema Janice’s Instagram is definitely one of my favourites because her feed is minimalistic, chic and sophisticated. She’s only one year older than me but she’s achieved so much already and always looks like she’s stepped out of a glam magazine. 2. Olivia Palermo  I fell in love with her when I first saw her on the reality show ‘The City’ which was way back in 2008. Her fashion is not only elegant and simplistic but also represents her bold personality and how she’s not afraid to say what she feels. Her blog also has everything to keep you up to date when it comes to runway shows and high end fashion. 3. Sincerely Jules  Julie Sarinana or Sincerely Jules as …

Bedazzled & Crystallised | Fall Couture 2017

Fall Couture fashion week took over Paris with bedazzled sequins, intricate embellishments and plenty of glitz and sparkle. Couture fashion is probably my favourite collections to admire because they’re so big and bold with this year making no exception and failing to disappoint. Here are my favourite pieces from this years designs. Zuhair Murad: A designer who I just recently discovered and instantly fell in love with. His pieces are renowned for their Princess-esque theme, sprawled with crystals, delicate fabric and long flowing gowns. This season’s looks were inspired by The Gibson Girl, the personification of the ideal woman, embracing power, sex-appeal and beauty. Elie Saab:  One of my favourite high end designers, Elie Saab’s theme this year couldn’t be more accurate than a medieval warrior princess. In fact, the Lebanese designer even called it ‘A tale of fallen kings’, with his pieces sprawled with embroidery, velvet, coats and capes.   Fendi:  Anything created/produced by Karl Lagerfield is bound to be a masterpiece, and this year’s theme being ‘theatrics’ was taken literally from the prints …

Models Hadid Sisters Street Style

Bella and Gigi Hadid have been killing it this year with their street style, staying ahead and up to date with the hottest fashion and beauty trends. Both being professional runway models and constantly being surrounded by other IT girl models and creative designers can also explain why their style is always ‘on point’. Although they are twins, their style couldn’t be anymore different. Gigi Hadid’s style is more of a refined and minimalistic look whereas Bella Hadid is edgy and modern with an eclectic twist. One thing I’ve noticed from both sisters however is their love for denim, and whether it’s a double denim on denim or a sequinned top with distressed navy jeans, if it’s anyone who can pull off a quirky look, it’s the Hadid’s. I’ve stalked their Instagram (as I do on a daily basis) and screenshotted my favourite looks from the sisters. And even better, I’ve even linked similar looks so you don’t have to stress about where to find their outfit pieces. All the hard work, anxiety and panic …

Fashion For Winter | Weekend, Coffee & Layering

Au revoir everyone! I’m writing this as I’m staring out my window overlooking the cool grey clouds enveloping the sky, casting a tinted haze amongst us Sydney-siders. One of my friends who’s originally from London used to marvel at how Sydney has ‘so much sky’ and even though I initially laughed and asked her what she meant, now looking at it, I can see why she would say that! This Saturday was another gloomy cloudy day, making me feel like I’ve transported to Paris or London. The up side however being it’s the perfect condition to sip on delicious coffee (I’m slowly becoming more and more addicted to soy mochas). Here’s my outfit post and a little visual diary of my weekend xx Shop this SIMILAR look here: Scarf: Cardigan: Boots: Bag:

RTW SS17

There has been an abundance of Ready To Wear Spring Fashion shows popping out from every corner. From  Paris to London, to New York, fashion gurus and bloggers are buzzing with inspiration on how and what to style pieces for the coming months. And of course with the masses of runway collections there comes many competitions as to grab attention on which fashion show is the most spectacular! Everything from an aisle of pink glitter (Elie Saab) to a futuristic themed extravaganza (Junya Watanabe) showcased that the bigger the show the better! Here are my favourite collections (in no particular order) from the Ready to Wear Spring 2017 Fashion show. Talbot Runhof Inspired by a silk fil coupe design by Clara Fantoccoli, their collection showcased neutrals and delicate fabrics. It was minimalism intwined with bursts of details as seen in the photos below. I also gained inspiration by mixing different fabric materials together, for example silky shorts with pin striped button up collared shirt. One of the most renowned brands symbolic of elegance and empowerment is …

7:25am thoughts

It’s a Friday morning and the sun is bursting through the cherry red curtains, prying its way eagerly with golden fingertips to reach the interiors of the house. Outside, the birds are chatting away as they soar overhead, ready to take on the day. It’s 7:25am and I am sitting here wide awake feeling somewhat inspired and motivated. Uni starts next month, my mum and brother return home from Shanghai China in 3 days and I just got a call from my manager at work asking if I could take the 10-6 shift. Life feels so normal, nothing significant is happening really yet at the same time, it feels so different. Every time i realise my age and that I’ve hit the big 20’s makes me jitter with nerves that I am already a fully fledged adult. yet, ironically I still feel like I’m 16 years old (minus the pimples, acne and devastating clothes style…i thought layering singlets were a cute summer choice…) Now as I type this, i look out my window to the …
