June Faves

With the passing of June we have officially reached the middle of the year!! With all my monthly favourites I feel like I never fail to mention how quickly time passes… That being said, I’m still in awe at how far we’ve come and that we’re currently closer to Christmas than we are from the beginning of the year. June was a chilly month for us Australians which meant I spent quite some time watching and reading whilst I was snuggled indoors. Without further ado, here are my June favourites…!

Beauty:

Nyx butter gloss-Tiramisu

Nyx Cosmetics is a brand that I cannot fault! Their makeup range is so affordable and the quality is amazing and very similar to brands that are on the high end side of beauty. This shade is a very light nude but gives your lips the perfect gloss and shimmer to suit any look and outfit. I also have to mention that it smells like vanilla cupcakes so you’ll have a hard time ensuring you don’t lick the product right off!

Mac lipstick: Velvet teddy

This lipstick is a re-discovered holy grail item after finding it tucked at the bottom of one of my bags. As you can probably tell I really love nude colours and Velvet Teddy matches the colour of my lips exactly so it gives me that plumped up ‘full’ shape without looking too extra.

Versace Crystal fragrance

This is my everyday fragrance and I don’t think I’ve mentioned this in my previous blog-posts so I’m writing it here. If you’re after a subtle fragrance of something sweet and fresh then you definitely need to swatch Versace Crystal Fragrance.

Benefit hello flawless foundation

Another re-discovered beauty product after realising this was the only foundation that matched my winter paleness…I’m using the shade Ivory (which is the lightest) and found that it is super moisturising and gives a light-medium coverage that allows your skin to breathe. This foundation is perfect for day time wear when you want to look presentable that covers blemishes and redness.

Fashion:

Scarves

The perfect winter accessory and fashion statement this season! I love neutral ‘fall’ colours including mustard and maroon scarves or simple designs to really add layers and definition to your look.

Hoop earrings

Hoop earrings can instantly vamp up a simple makeup look! Play around with golds, rose gold and silver and different sizes to see which ones you prefer most.

Watch:

Wonder Woman

Definitely one of my favourite movies I’ve seen all year. This film is just an all rounder brilliant movie that makes you feel empowered, happy and is packed with adventure. You can click HERE to read a Wonder Woman inspired makeup tutorial.

Rough Night

You know it has to be a good movie if Scarlett Johansson, Jillian Bell and Aussie actress Kate Mckinnon are all in the one movie. This is a film that will guarantee to have you laughing from start to finish.

Read:

Jane Eyre

Even though I’m only halfway, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is such a lovely read that makes you appreciate the beauty of English literature that really sweeps you back to the mid 18th century.

Listen:

U2 Justin Bieber

To all you Bieber fans, if you haven’t already heard his new song with David Guetta you are missing out! Even if you’re not into Biebs, this upbeat song will transport you to Ibiza or somewhere warm.

Blackbear (Digital Druglord)

I’ve only recently discovered his album and it’s been on my Spotify repeat list all month. His latest album Digital Druglord is a combination between rap and hip-hop and just gives me Macklemore meets G-Eazy vibes.
