Month: June 2017

June Faves

With the passing of June we have officially reached the middle of the year!! With all my monthly favourites I feel like I never fail to mention how quickly time passes… That being said, I’m still in awe at how far we’ve come and that we’re currently closer to Christmas than we are from the beginning of the year. June was a chilly month for us Australians which meant I spent quite some time watching and reading whilst I was snuggled indoors. Without further ado, here are my June favourites…! Beauty: Nyx butter gloss-Tiramisu Nyx Cosmetics is a brand that I cannot fault! Their makeup range is so affordable and the quality is amazing and very similar to brands that are on the high end side of beauty. This shade is a very light nude but gives your lips the perfect gloss and shimmer to suit any look and outfit. I also have to mention that it smells like vanilla cupcakes so you’ll have a hard time ensuring you don’t lick the product right off! …

Beginner’s Guide to Bronzing & Contouring (Blogger’s Fave Products)

Bronzing and highlighting is one of the most crucial steps in your makeup routine, as they add light and shadow to your face and allows your face to have that accentuated definition. However, with so many bronzing products (you cannot go wrong with Hoola Bronzer), it can be tricky to perfect and we’ve had those tragic moments where we look back and can’t decide if we were mauled by a wild bear or didn’t blended our contour correctly. Here is my take on how to ‘beat your face to the Gods’ ( a new term that beauty influencers have now been saying) and make sure you know exactly how and where to apply your bronzing, contouring and highlighting products. PRODUCTS: You want to start off by deciphering what kind of products to use. By determining your skin type (oily, combination and dry) you can then decide on what products would be the most applicable to you. For example for oily skin it’s best to choose powders for less shine and liquid and cream products will …

Winter’s Night Out In Syd |OOTN

The best part about a night out with friends is the preparation bit, getting excited about what to wear, visualising exactly how you want your hair and makeup would look (not that it ever looks the same as how you envision it) and of course, those pre-going out selfies. If you want to go the extra mile and be super fancy, head to Hotel Palisade at Millers Point in Sydney, a gorgeous European styled building tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the whole of Sydney including views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. They serve delicious cocktails and gourmet finger foods such as lamb cutlets, grilled prawns and truffle fries. For a glammed up night club, you cannot go wrong at Marquee located in The Star Casino. If you buy the early bird tickets (before 11pm) you can grab a great deal of paying only $21. Outfit details:  Dress: Kookai Heels: Tony Bianco You can purchase my look directly here 🙂 xx

A Day At The Art Gallery

One of my favourite things to do during the Winter time is visit the art gallery and I do so every year when the weather gets cold. It’s such a place of relaxation as you wander aimlessly amongst the artworks and passerby’s in silence. I’m not exactly an art-sy person but I’m really into Renaissance paintings and works from the early European period. Here are a few snapshots of my favourite artworks from the Art Gallery of NSW.   P.s. Check out my ultimate guide to the perfect outfit and make-up look for a day at the Art Gallery!

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot’s Fashion & Beauty Hacks

Hollywood’s current superstar and superhero Gal Gadot has everyone talking about her latest action packed film, Wonder Woman directed by the brilliant Patty Jenkins. This film is a serious must see not only to marvel at the stunningly beautiful Gal Gadot but also appreciate a film where the witty kick ass hero is actually a warrior princess/Amazonian goddess. Whilst we’re still in awe at how she managed to repel bullets and protect herself and the war torn cities, the biggest question in our minds is how after all that she still looks as glamorous as ever. Here are a few of my favourite beauty and fashion looks from Gal Gadot and how to achieve them: Face: In the film Diana’s face was as flawless as her character, a bronzed Amazonian goddess so to achieve this look it is imperative to start off with the perfect base and work from there. My favourite primer is Benefit’s Porefessonal primer. To achieve that naturally golden finish, apply a cream contour on the hollows of your cheekbones, the arch …

Fashion For Winter | Weekend, Coffee & Layering

Au revoir everyone! I’m writing this as I’m staring out my window overlooking the cool grey clouds enveloping the sky, casting a tinted haze amongst us Sydney-siders. One of my friends who’s originally from London used to marvel at how Sydney has ‘so much sky’ and even though I initially laughed and asked her what she meant, now looking at it, I can see why she would say that! This Saturday was another gloomy cloudy day, making me feel like I’ve transported to Paris or London. The up side however being it’s the perfect condition to sip on delicious coffee (I’m slowly becoming more and more addicted to soy mochas). Here’s my outfit post and a little visual diary of my weekend xx Shop this SIMILAR look here: Scarf: Cardigan: Boots: Bag:

May Faves | Nudes, Green Gables & More…

We have officially reached the mid year of 2017! It’s crazy to think how fast time is passing and it makes me EVEN MORE nervous to realise how there is still so many things I have to yet to do. That being said, May for me was a frenetic (fave new word of the week hehe) month. It was the busier latter half of semester at uni where everything was due sporadically and all at once.  It was also my first time at Mercedes Benz Fashion week and there were events almost every weekend for me related to fashion and bloggers and just another excuse to brunch with friends. I do have quite a few random favourites across all spectrums including a show I am now addicted to, and a must try winter tea. Fashion: Knee-high boots May was the official turning point for the colder months ahead and I am definitely not one for the chillier weather so throughout May I was wearing my black suede knee high boots from H&M I bought a few …
