These Boots Were Made For Walking…

As the mid year approaches, mid year exams, deadlines and assessments will be the centre of your worries so finding an appropriate outfit is probably the LAST thing on your mind. However, I’m all about practicability and because knee high-boots have become pretty popular from the runways to the streets, I’ve decided to share 3 simple ways on how to look good without wasting those precious extra minutes in the morning!

With Winter fast approaching, it’s time to get out the chunky sweaters, turtleneck jumpers and of course, our classic pair of knee-high boots. The first look is perfect for uni or a casual day out with your friends for brunch in the city.

I’ve paired my black boots from H&M with a super cosy grey knitted turtle neck jumper and comfy black shorts. You can even add a necklace as a statement piece for that added detail and you’re good to go.

For my next look, this is more applicable to wear one of those days where you want to look great but just can’t think of the perfect pairing.

Wearing a simple body con dress with knee high boots automatically adds that flair and dressier vibe and is the perfect combination that flaunts your body but doesn’t reveal TOO much 🙂

This look is also tribute to Jessica Simpson’s 2006 music video, hence the title of this blog post ^_^

And for my final look, I’ve decided to style the classic black boots over leggings. To me, it definitely accentuates the legs, making it appear leaner and taller, not to mention is super comfy and perfect for night outs on chillier occasions. And instead of opting for typical black leggings, I decided to style my khaki coloured ones from Glassons just to add a subliminal splash of colour and chicness. tumblr_o7kfpbx8I81vuw1u6o2_1280

Because the colours are neutral based (but more so because I literally do not OWN very much attire that do contain colour), I balanced it out by going for a dewy glowy look for the face. I applied Benefit’s Watts Up Highlighter on top of the cheekbones, brow arch, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow and topped it off with my favourite Mac’s Soft and Gentle mineral highlighter. Just another excuse to pile on the glitter on my face 🙂

Hope you enjoyed these looks and let me know what your winter essentials are xx
