Summer/Spring Lookbook 2016

For those of you living in the Southern Hemisphere, colder days are soon arriving (breaks down in tears), and so again the cycle of confusion begins as we’re left struggling in the midst of our rooms, surrounded by mismatched shoes, heavy coats and halter tops that just don’t seem to be appropriate for this seasonal period. So for today’s blogpost, I’ve shared 3 appropriate outfits to prepare yourselves for the ever-changing, ever-catastrophic weather season: Over the past few months, I’ve basically been living in midi wrap dresses because they’re just so damn comfy to hop into! In this first outfit I am wearing an olive green wrap dress that is the softest material that stretches so you don’t have to worry about looking like a baby penguin in public. These dresses hug you in all the right places that not only keep you warm but also accentuates your curves!  I’ve paired it with my comfiest nude heels from the Kardashian Kollection but I’ve also worn it with beige sandals and even black Havaianas. And in …

Sleepy Summer Street Style

As February draws to a close, so to are the hazy days of Summer filled with fairy floss flavoured zooper-doopers, uneven tan lines and humid nights full of laughter and sticky bodies. If I were to describe my fashion sense it would be comfy, cute and cropped, and I’m actually surprised that Ive incorporated some colour in my wardrobe as come winter-time, the only colours in my field of vision are black and neutrals. Hopefully these photos of my outfits resonate also my character… as a dreamer, someone witty & spontaneous. This top was such a steal at under $10 from a closing down sale from Chicabooti. The cute unicorn badge with the caption ‘I don’t believe in humans’ adds a touch of girliness to the sporty top. Sticking to the sporty vibe I paired it with nikes and classic black pleather shorts. Super adorable and did i mention the level of comfiness? Who says you have to sacrifice beauty for pain…(well maybe in some cases of sky-high heels but this outfit is perfect for …

Follow Me Around Visual Diary

Hi beautiful friends! For today’s post I am going to be sharing with you a photo-diary of a follow me around from when I went shopping in the city with one of my good friends  yesterday. We were originally supposed to meet up for lunch and gym but after exploring these trendy boutiques hidden in Chinatown, we kind of compromised that with all this walking around, it was kindaaaa like hitting the gym (who were we kidding). However, it did end up to be such an exciting day and its spontaneous unplanned trips like these that end up to be one of the most memorable days that we’ll cherish forever. We were shopping in the usual vicinity of Pitt Street Mall and browsing mind-numbly through the usual (Zara, Topshop, General Pants, Dotti) and we just couldn’t understand why we struggled so much in finding pieces that we actually liked! Once again, we hadn’t picked out anything so, we headed through to Chinatown to catch the train. It was there that we decided to stop at …

Swimming with Sea Snails

Living in Sydney is like a teen living with your very stern and conservative mother. Yes it can be frustrating when you realise how darn expensive everything is (compared to American Sephora or clothing in the UK), and the fluctuating weather conditions where only in Australia is it deemed normal to have hailstones, heatwaves and hurricanes in 24 hours. But at the end of the day, you can’t help but feel grateful and appreciative because you come to realise how special Australia (Sydney) is with its hidden perks. That was how I felt on Wednesday when my friend and I decided to head to Bondi to do the Bondi to Coogee Coastal walk. We caught the train from central to Bondi Junction and the 333 bus to arrive at our destination. The sun greeted us from the cloudless sky and there was a gently breeze that made its way delicately around us. We knew it was going to be a great day. We started our walk from Bondi Icebergs cafe where, naturally being the prime …

Obsessed

The last time I scrabbled a film review on my blog was probably mid last year and since I am still in holiday mode, I have no excuse in impeding a film review blog post as the majority of my sweltering summer nights are consumed with me laying sprawled on my couch under the air con immersed in a film or documentary. One that comes into my mind that I watched last night in fact is psychological thriller ‘Obsessed’. This film actually was recommended by my dad during a conversation we had on the topic of love and divorce in todays society and, after reading the synopsis and finding that Beyonce was in this film, I hastily made my way to Megashare to begin viewing. The film opens to an idyllic scene of a perfect couple Derek Charles (Ibris Elba) and Sharon (Beyonce) moving into a comfortable home with their toddler. Fuzzy music gushing with romance and love play serenely in the background as the young family stare adoringly into each others eyes and mutter assuringly …
