Wolf Club

A quick outfit of the day post. With Sydney weather clearing up to reveal humid mornings and cloudy evenings, it’s hard to decipher what to wear. So I have opted for comfort (as per usual) with the classic print tee tucked into denim white shorts. It was a successful Christmas shopping day as I luckily and thankfully managed to snatch up some great discounted clothes. I will post a fashion and beauty related Christmas haul soon. Whats In A Room

I was recently looking at my old iMovie clips where I used to film and edit short clips and happened to stumble upon a ‘room tour’ video from 2 years ago. A lot has changed since in regards to the design, layout, what products I use and my personal style. I used to love intricate detailings and I was obsessed with cute and girly things.. in other words everything had to be pink and luscious. I’ve screenshotted my favourite stills from the video and hope you enjoy these aesthetically pleasing shots of what used to be my bedroom ^_^ My dresser with my old favourites including a vintage angel candle that was my grandma’s and I now use as a jewellery holder, Glasshouse scented candle in Tahaa, easter bunny from my aunty, skull from Daiso, vintage mini plate with renaissance designs that I use as my everyday jewellery holder.  I thought the Tiffany box complimented the bunny. When I was younger, the only thing I wanted in life was a studious pink desk with mini …

Inspo Board: Melted Goodness

For the past few weeks I have been enthralled by soft, warm and dewy tones on the skin that radiate hydration and glow. This month I have been experimenting with neutral and warm eyeshadows and realised that a girl can never have enough eyeshadow palettes, and there is no such thing as two colours being exactly the same (no matter how closely aligned the undertone shades are). My everyday makeup routine now consists of applying hydrating sprays throughout the day to maintain that healthy and borderline obsessive dewiness. I’ve also replaced my mattifying primer with a dab of Marajuca oil on the cheeks. And my usual black winged eyeliner is replaced with a brown gel eyeliner on top of either warm honey brown or soft reds all over the eyelid. Glossy lips are the absolute essential for this look not to mention how terrific they make your lips feel! Long gone are the days where you are struggling to piece sentences together that require little syllables since the more you twist your mouth, the more …

My Morning Routine (Summer Edition)

Morning routines have lately and quickly become the new trending video to watch…and rightfully so. I personally find them so addicting and fascinating to watch because it is what we experience every day and so seeing someone perform a task so common and watching them do things in their own special way is like peeking into someone else’s private lifestyle. For the days where I’m not working or going to uni early in the morning and have a bit more time on my hands, this is what my morning usually consists of…

Litter Boom And Trap

Marked by Jenna Price (Overall mark: Distinction) Canterbury Council urges local residents to clean up their rubbish after masses of ‘drink containers’ were found in the Cooks litter project.   The amount of non-biodegradable waste from the Cooks River Litter Boom has led to concerns over the collective approach between council members and local residents.   Media and PR advisor of Sydney Water Corporation, Peter Hadfield says: ‘A behavioral change of the local residents is important to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in the Cooks River in the first place.’   The litter boom and trap was installed in the Cooks River at Boat Harbour, Hurlstone Park in August 2014. The trap captures floating litter from the Cooks River into a collection chamber, which is emptied weekly. Bankstown City Council, Cooks River Litter Boom, viewed 4th July 2015 http://www.canterbury.nsw.gov.au/Environment/Cooks-River/Cooks-River-Litter-Boom   Residents and the community have a detrimental impact in the process of preserving and cleaning the Cooks River.   Hadfield says: ‘The big reality is that there are plastic bags and containers …

HOW TO: Get Clear Skin

Your face is the first thing that a person looks at, and is the first impression upon meeting someone. Acne, spots, blemishes and redness are inevitable and are completely normal factors of being human. And although pimples are irritating and smack bang in the middle of the face, it is so important to realise that firstly, nobody really notices a few spots here or there. In fact 99% of the population have experienced pimples or some sort of acne so either they know what it feels like and/or they don’t really care. Let’s face it, you probably have more important things to take into account other than the bunch of blackheads your co worker has. The first thing to know coming from someone who suffered from mild acne during my teenage years, is that patience is virtue. Those 2-3 years where my face resembled a pizza that has gone off felt like the longest years of my life, and 5 years later I can still vividly recall the pain, torment and embarrassment of what my …

Kylie Jenner Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Yup..I already know what you’re thinking. Here we go with another beauty blogger doing a Kardashian/Jenner inspired makeup tutorial with the overdrawn lips and completely reconstructed face. But before you say anything, here is my take on Kylie Jenner and why she is actually an inspiring figure in today’s global social media trodden society. To clear up the rumours that she has had chin reduction, cheek implants, bletharoplasty and her whole face done up, those are just rumours. The only surgery that she has taken is lip fillers, which can’t really be categorised as cosmetic surgery because it isn’t permanent. The rest of her transformation is mainly due to puberty (yes…that is a thing wow) and the power of makeup aka contouring and concealing.  I mean, take a look at your year book to when you were 14 or 15 and compare it to yourself today. My year 9 high school photos are a literal testament that yes people’s faces do change drastically. Kylie is only 19 so of course it’s plausible that you would …

As the end of the semester comes to a close, it’s time to get ourselves looking and feeling pampered and radiant as we head into the much anticipated and long awaited Summer break. For a quick fix and instant results, face masks are the perfect solution for those last minute events or if you just want a little confident boost. I was very excited to get my hands on the Glamglow supermud clearing treatment that is formulated specifically for clearing out pores and help fight breakouts, redness and visible congestion. I don’t know about you guys, but I love reading all the goodness packed inside a product so that I know exactly what it will do to my skin and to learn about the different types of acids and oils that will do exactly what I’m looking for. The key ingredients in this product are: Acnecidic-6 4.4%: This acid balances out the PH levels in your skin that deal with breakouts, de-clogging, pore minimising, pigmentation and scarring. Activated X charcoal: This ingredient is an absorption …

Steph Styles: Strapless Tops

Strapless tops, or bandeaus with chokers if you want to be technical can sometimes be overwhelming to style as they are one of those pieces that can either rock or flop the look you’re going for. I’m going to show you how you can piece together very easily two looks that are definite show stoppers and most appropriate for a fun night out. The first look is to pair the top with a neutral bottoms, that can include white, grey or cream neutrals for a sophisticated look so it doesn’t end up looking like a Halloween outfit. I’ve decided on a faded grey pencil skirt that goes up to my knees to balance out the revealing upper half. The second look I went for is a black on black statement outfit. You cannot go wrong with black minimalism and it doesn’t look like you’re over dressed. I am wearing a simple tailored black skirt with a small slit above the knee for that added detail of simplicity. This look is also very versatile as it will …

All Hallow’s Eve | 2016

Halloween in today’s digital age is the perfect opportunity to dress up and take masses of photos with your friends on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat (using the Halloween special effect filters of course) without anyone thinking that you’re too overly conceited and vain. Although Halloween is said to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain to ward off ghosts and evil spirits, it quickly became a renowned tradition in America. Today, Halloween is celebrated all over the world with the help of social media glorifying and extending the practice of ‘trick or treating’  and jack-o’-lantern carving. It is a battlefield in the world of Instagram of who has the most exquisite Halloween costume or who is able to replicate the characters of Harley Quinn or Mia Wallace the best. Celebrities and social media influencers have definitely transformed Halloween into a glamourised fashion show…not that I’m complaining. Any excuse to dress up and take photos is fine by me. This year I went as a skeleton gal (or ghoul if I want to be punny), using an …
